In the morning of Sunday 22 January there’s been an accident at the Junction of Crawley to Minster Lovell and the road has been blocked by police.
Oxfordshire fire and rescue service posted on their Facebook page saying:
The significantly cold weather has made it extremely icy and difficult driving conditions over the last few days.
This driver had a lucky escape after their HGV tanker overturned near Crawley (Witney) just after midnight in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Two crews from Witney Fire Station attended supported by the specialist rescue tender crew from Kidlington Fire Station and a Hazardous Materials Advisor.
The driver was assisted from the vehicle by colleagues from Thames Valley Police before crews arrived into the care of South Central Ambulance Service. Crews then worked to limit the possibility of environmental damage from the leaking tanker working with the recovery company.
